With thousands of skin building energy shots, your skin is transformed from deep within its foundation….giving you cosmetic surgery results with no needls, no knife, no pain and no downtown.

HIFU is a safe ultrasound treatment designed for anti-aging, face-lifting and body sculpting. Micro shots of HIFU energy are beamed through the surface  of the skin of the skin stimulating new collagen synthesis while at the same time tightening muscles, improving skin texture, reducing wrinkles, firming and lifting the skin, giving you a sculpted, tightened and lifted new look NATURALLY!

HIFU Vaginal Tightening procedure does not require surgery and results in a tighter and more elastic vaginal area. This process will restructure vaginal tissues without the use of numbing creams, anaesthetics or invasive methods.

The contraction of collagen and elastin is activated by heat, which leads to long-lasting results by stimulating the regeneration of these important proteins. The exactness of treatment allows complete control over the function and power of the ultrasound to ensure every patient has comfortable experience.

Intense Pulsed Light Therapy, or better known as IPL Therapy is used for Hair Removal, but can also be used for Facial and Body Vein removal, Vascular Birthmarks, Pimples, Facial Rejuvenation and Collagen Stimulation.

How does it work?

Regardless of the laser/IPL type used, a short burst of light is fired at skin’s surface. This light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair shaft, where it heats and destroys the hair whilst sparing surrounding tissues. If the hair is in the growth stage (anagen), the heat is transmitted down the hair shaft to the base of the follicle and to the germ cells lining the follicle shaft, causing their destruction. Hair caught in the growth stage will not tend to grow again. Other follicles, which are not actively growing may then produce new hair. These follicles will need to be targeted in the growth stage to effect follicle damage.

How is the treatment carried out?

The glass applicator is placed in contact with skin surface and the light is pulsed through it onto the skin. The applicator is then moved to the neighbouring area and the process is repeated.

Can all hair colours be treated?

Laser/IPL depilation works best on dark hair because dark hair contains more pigment to absorb light. Fair hair can respond well but white hair, very blond hair and some types of red hair will not respond to a laser or an IPL system and will need to be treated hair-by-hair using an electrolysis technique. We always carry out a test patch before a full treatment so we will know how your hair and skin will respond before you commit to a full treatment. This test patch is included in our consultation, which is completely free of charge.

Can all parts of the body be treated?

Yes – including the chin, upper lip, cheeks, legs, arms, underarms and back – as well as sensitive areas like the ears, nose, chest and bikini line. Our lasers are fast and even large areas like legs and backs can be treated in a relatively short period of time.

Is laser/IPL hair removal permanent?

Results vary; actively growing hair follicles will be destroyed, so for some people we can say that the end result is permanent. However, as with all depilation methods, we cannot give any guarantee as the laser or IPL will only affect actively growing follicles and has no effect on dormant or ‘resting’ hair follicles. Therefore, it is always possible that new hair growth may take place from hair follicles not currently growing. It is also accepted now that some hairs are not destroyed but convert from a terminal (thick dark, noticeable) hair to a vellus (fine, blonde unnoticeable) hair.

Does it hurt?

As the light energy is absorbed by the pigment melanin, the discomfort depends upon the concentration of melanin in the epidermis and the hairs combined. Consequently it hurts more in dark skinned people and those with dense dark hairs. No anaesthesia is required and most patients describe the pain as moderate and acceptable

How do I prepare myself for treatment?

The laser targets the pigment in the hair and skin and thus it is important that you do not have a suntan – whether natural or artificial.

  • If you have a tan you should wait after your last UV exposure until there is no activity in the pigment producing cells.
  • If you are plucking, waxing or threading, you should stop 4 weeks prior to treatment and change to shaving or cutting the hair.
  • The treatment area needs to be shaved the day before treatment.
  • You should avoid perfumes, deodorants or any potential irritants in the treatment area before and after treatment.
  • You should avoid alcohol, aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories such as Brufen for 48 hours before treatment; This will reduce the risk of a skin reaction.

Are there any side effects?

The most common after effect is redness of the skin that can last for a day or so. Slight blistering can occur but this is rare and would clear up within a few days. With certain skin types changes in skin colour can occur and you will be advised of any adjunct treatment necessary to prevent this. Because each individual’s skin responds differently we always carry out a careful pre-treatment test patch procedure to ensure that the right system is chosen and that no unexpected reactions take place during a full treatment.

Why do hairs “grow” after treatment?

Unlike other light depilation treatments, hairs are not vaporised by the IPL treatment. The heat kills the hair roots but the hairs remain in the skin and often become attached to the epidermis. They will fall out after 1 to 3 weeks as the epidermis renews itself. During this period it will seem that the hairs are growing a little faster as the epidermis pushes them out.

How can you tell if the treatment has worked when the hairs are not removed immediately?

Various Indications such as color of hair becoming charcoal black and expanding in size or a Red ring around each follicle is often seen a few minutes after the treatment. These are good indications that sufficient heating of the follicles has taken place. Unfortunately this is not always seen and we have seen many patients with successful treatments results without the post treatment signs.

IPL skin care (skin rejuvenation, pigmentation treatment, broken capillaries)

IPL treatments can be used to help restore the skin’s youthful appearance. IPL treatment improves the appearance of photoaged skin, removes age spots (sun-induced freckles), most benign brown pigments, and redness caused by broken capillaries through a process called photorejuvenation for face and body.

  • IPL treatments are quick, gentle and non-invasive. There is no interruption of routine activities.
  • By helping to remove the age spots (sun-induced freckles) and broken capillaries, the result is overall more even, luminous, younger looking skin.
  • Patients can see dramatic results within a very short time.

A broad spectrum of light is transmitted through a small, smooth, transparent hand piece which is gently placed over the skin. Cut-off filters in the hand piece change the wavelength range allowing it to be optimized for different applications and skin types. The light penetrates the tissue and is absorbed by either the blood when treating vascular lesions or the melanin when treating pigmented lesions damaging them. The body’s natural processes then remove the injured tissue giving the skin a more even and youthful appearance.

Treatment applications:

  • Remove unwanted thick or tiny hair
  • Make your skin tightening
  • Lifting skin
  • Improving flexibility and tone of skin
  • Rejuvenate skin: removing deep wrinkles, pigments, freckles, vascular lesions, whitening the skin, changing large hair pores
  • Remove acne: improving the situation of oily skin, killing acne bacilli

Most middle-aged woman suffer from age problems such as skin sagging and vagina relaxation. Around 40-50 years old woman start to notice it. Their skin starts to become looser, so that it appears less firm. Aging affects eyebrows, eyelids, neck and under the chin, around the lips. The Ultralift is the only non-surgical treatment that can specifically target the deep foundation below the skin without cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin. It is the only procedure to use ultrasound.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is The Ultralift?

The Ultralift is a non-surgical face, neck and body treatment that uses ultrasound to actually lift and tone loose skin without any downtime.

What is unique about the Ultralift procedure?

The Ultralift is the only treatment that can specifically target the deep foundation below the skin that is addressed in cosmetic surgery withoutcutting or disrupting the surface of the skin. It is also the only procedure to use ultrasound.

What areas can be treated with Ultralift?

The Ultralift is perfect for tightening and lifting the skin on the neck, under the chin, the jawline, the brow, around the eyes, and treating wrinkling and sagging on the décolletage and body (areas of which that can be targeted include: chest, arms, armpits, abdomen, flanks, thighs and lower legs).

Is The Ultralift surgery?

No. The Ultralift addresses the skin and the support layer below it, but it doesn’t entail cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin.

Can The Ultralift replace a face lift?

The Ultralift is not a “facelift.” It is an uplift. While it is not a replacement for surgery, it is a viable option for those not ready for a facelift or those looking to prolong the effects of cosmetic surgery.

How is The Ultralift different from lasers and Radiofrequency (RF)?

Lasers and RF typically (Fraxel, Polaris, E2) address issues in the superficial layers of the skin (e.g. fine lines, wrinkles, pigment changes). The Ultralift addresses the deep skin layer andthe foundational muscle layer addressed in cosmetic surgery that lift and lends support to the skin. Therefore, the three technologies are most compatible.

Is The Ultralift safe?

The procedure has been cleared by the U.S. FDA after demonstrating safety in clinical studies, and tens of thousands of treatments have been performed worldwide without any significant adverse events. In addition, ultrasound energy has a proven track record, with use in the field of medicine for more than 50 years, including pregnancy scans.

Who is a good candidate for The Ultralift?

A good candidate for The Ultralift is someone with skin that has “relaxed” to the point of looking, and often feeling, less firm. A lowered brow line or sagging skin on the eyelids, for instance, is often the first sign of “maturing” skin. While The Ultralift is not a replacement for surgery, there are many people who want some lifting but are not ready for surgery, either mentally, financially or logistically.

How long does the treatment take?

A full face-and-neck treatment takes approximately 30 minutes, and a partial face treatment can take around 30-minutes•neither with any downtime

How long until I see results of the The Ultralift treatment?

Patients may enjoy some initial effect but the ultimate lifting and toning will take place over 2-3 months, as tired collagen is renewed and replaced with new, stronger collagen.

Is there any downtime with The Ultralift treatment?

With Ultralift, there is no downtime. You are able to return to your normal activities right away, and there are no special measures you need to take. It also can be carried out at time of the year with no restrictions, with regard to sun exposure.

Will I feel the ultrasound during the treatment?

Yes. What you are feeling during the treatment is actually tiny amounts of concentrated ultrasound energy being deposited below the surface of the skin. Patients have noted there can be some discomfort while the energy is being delivered, but it is temporary and a positive signal that the collagen-building process has been initiated.

Is The Utralift painful?

We will be sure to consult with you prior to your treatment to make your experience as pleasant as possible. Some patients feel no discomfort at all, some more so. Patients typically leave comfortable and excited about the benefits to come.

Are there any side effects?

There may be slight redness for up to an hour or so following the treatment, and a small percentage of patients may have slight swelling, tingling or tenderness to touch, but these are mild and temporary in nature. There is always the possibility for other less common post-procedural effects, which your practitioner will review with you.

What will my skin feel like after the procedure?

Immediately following an The Uplift procedure your skin should feel tighter, smoother and more youthful. Over time you may notice additional tightening. The most frequently reported incidents are as follows on or around the treated area as follows and all have resolved within a few days or weeks of treatment:

  • Swelling
  • Redness
  • Tingling of the skin
  • Tenderness
  • Bruising

How long before I can return to my normal activities?

Most people can return to their regular activities immediately following the The Ultralift procedure. You should avoid exposing your skin to extremes of heat and cold and protect your skin with a sun block cream. Your normal makeup regime can be followed immediately.

With age collagen fibres within the vagina begin to lose elasticity. At Body Vitality Studio our non-surgical vaginal tightening treatment improves the health and vitality of vaginal tissue, using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) that is highly effective at rebuilding skin elastin while tightening. Vaginal laxity, especially around the vaginal opening can lead to diminished tightness and sensitivity in the vaginal area, causing decreased satisfaction during sexual intercourse and creating a significant quality of life issue. Our vaginal tightening treatment offers a simple and quick treatment solution that restores the mucosal tone of the vaginal walls and enhances the sensitivity of vaginal receptors. Concentrated thermal heating and micro-ablation is applied throughout the inner layer of the vaginal tissue, stimulating collagen regeneration and contracture of elastin fibers.
